RT Buses
RT buses are a key staple of London Bus History- a timeless classic. It's one of the best known types of London Bus, featuring in films such as 'Summer Holiday', or James Bond's 'Live and Let Die'

The model pictured on the right is the RT8, with this particular model being first registered in May 1940.

The first RT took to the road in service weeks before the start of WWII, with a total of 150 being produced over the next two years. Following the end of the war it had been decided that the RT would form the majority of the London Double Deck Fleet.

In it's prime, there were nearly 7000 in service, and they therefore took a long time to replace, being in service until April 1979.

When people think of a classic London bus, this is one of the two main types people will picture in their mind.
We have a large RT collection available for hire, and the bus is a real showstopper, bound to turn many heads on and off camera.
